This is a poignant comedy by Marc Artigau i Queralt, directed by Clara Segura, about love and desire among ‘senior citizens’, when the memory is disintegrating like a sand castle. And about those who do their best to care for their loved ones.

"Is it possible to fall in love and live a love story at the old age?
Una festa a Roma is the story of Romina (76), who begins to become disoriented, to confuse people and places, to lose memory... Guillem (40), her son, is her primary caregiver. He helps as much as he can: he accompany her to the doctor, he fills the walls of her house with itineraries and photographs, he sells the car - although she has driven all her life -, and finally he records a long video interview of Romina to preserve her memories.
One morning, she loses herself in the street and Guillem, when he finally finds her, makes the decision to take her to a residence. There, her routine changes in all senses. Increasingly lost, she meets Juli (75), a vital and mocking man... and she fall in love with him.
Una festa a Roma is a sad comedy that explores the mechanisms of desire and old age and how we manage to take care of those we love."
Marc Artigau i Queralt
