Description

Tiago Rodrigues, the current director of the Avignon Festival, is going back to his first text from 2007: a polyphonic piece about a couple and the effects of the passage of time. The show was relaunched in 2021 in France and is now coming in a production by the Lliure featuring Joan Carreras and Marta Marco.

Asking my characters about what they have experienced is like asking myself about what my theatre has undergone since I began to write. Are the characters still in love? That young man that I was who enjoyed writing the piece, does he still have the same need to do theatre? I don’t know if I’m ready to hear the answer, but I can’t avoid asking myself the question.

This new version of the text was first performed at the Théâtre de Lorient and has been presented in different sections at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord in Paris, the Centre Dramatique National de Normandie-Rouen and the Onassis Stegi in Athens.
